Use this checklist before relying on any internship listing:

• Confirm that the employer exists and the vacancy appears on an official employer or trusted institutional source.
• Match the title, location and responsibilities against the original vacancy.
• Check the application deadline and whether the posting is still active.
• Verify work location, hybrid or on-site requirements and expected attendance.
• Check student or graduate eligibility, degree requirements and language requirements.
• Confirm whether work authorization, relocation or university documentation is required.
• Avoid paying money simply to submit an application.
• Use the employer application route where possible.
